1st Chairman of INCOSPAR is Vikram Sarabhai. later it was change to ISRO

- ISRO Built First Satellite, i.e Aryabhata (Launched by Soviet Union on 19-April-1975) and After that this name was changed to Mathematician Aryabhata in 1980.

The MeSat-1 is renamed as KALPANA-1 on 05-Feb-2003 by the Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajipayee in memory of Kalpana Chawla.
The KALPANA-1( Mesat-1) was launched on 12-sept-2002 by PSLV-C4.
